When: Monday, May 06, 2024
Where: Tomas Rivera Conference Center, UTEP
Time: 7:30 AM MT

JA Stock Market Challenge is an interactive competition where teams of high school students experience the thrill of the stock market trading floor! In this competitive learning program, students learn about the stock market, saving and investing during in-classroom programming, then compete against other high school students in an exciting one-day stock market competition.

In a high energy, fast paced simulated environment, the JA Stock Market Challenge encourages teams of 4 students to work together, leverage each others strengths and weaknesses and use critical thinking skills to put their market knowledge into practice to analyze market trends, fine tune their stock selection skills, cultivate financial acumen, embrace the risks and rewards of trading, and understand the benefits and difficulties of investing long-term.

On May 6th, teams will receive 1,000,000 to invest in fictitious stock. Once the opening bell is rung, the market opens and every 60 seconds is a new trading day. After 60 days, the team with the highest ROI will be crowned the JA Stock Market Challenge Champion!
