Due to the pandemic, we have transformed our spring bowl-a-thon to the 2021 Junior Achievement 401K Virtual Fun Race for Financially Fit Kids presented by Marathon and I am pleased to present to you the opportunity to support and participate in our upcoming event.
This event is like no other and most importantly, you don’t have to be an avid runner to participate. Do you like shopping? Doing step aerobics? Have some yard work to do? All of these activities plus many more, will transfer into mileage to move you and your team along the course towards the finish line. This is a “your race, your pace, your rules" kind of event.
What is the symbolism of 401K? Did you know that teens between the ages of 13-17 don’t know what a 401K is or how it works, yet 1/3 of them plan to retire before the age of 65? You can help us take action to change the future financial wellness of our local youth. Your support will ensure that we can continue to virtual pair volunteers and local students to better prepare them for bright career and financial freedom.
The Junior Achievement 401K Virtual Fun Race for Financially Fit Kids presented by Marathon is scheduled to take place May 20th-June 3rd and expected to attract participants from local companies and organizations. Our fundraising goal for the 2021 Junior Achievement 401K Virtual Fun Race for Financially Fit Kids is $100,000 and with your support we know that we will reach this goal! We will host a virtual kick off in early February to learn the “ins and outs” of our new event and a traveling trophy will be awarded to the Top Fundraising Company.
Join the Financially Fit Kids movement by sponsoring/participating in this inaugural event. Key leaders in the El Paso community will soon be hard at work putting together teams citywide. These participants will solicit donations from their families, friends, and coworkers in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for Junior Achievement. Participants and their sponsors will be made well aware that your company is a strong supporter of Junior Achievement.
